# How To Ban / Unban Players On A Terraria Server

Managing players on a Terraria server is essential for maintaining a positive and enjoyable environment. Whether you need to remove disruptive players or welcome back someone who has been banned, knowing how to ban or unban players is a crucial part of server administration. In this guide, we’ll explain the steps to ban or unban players on your Terraria server, helping you keep control of your server’s community and gameplay experience.

**Step 1:** Go to your [NameHero Client Area](https://www.namehero.com/clientarea.php) and head over to the **Advanced Game Panel** by clicking the blue button as seen in the screenshot within the NameHero Client Area. Here you will be accessing the **Terminal** tab**.**

**Step 2:** From the **Terminal**, enter the command `ban <playername>`. _Note that the player must be logged into the server to ban them._

**Step 3:** To unban a player, first go to the **Files** tab, Then open the Banlist.txt file (this will only show up if you banned a player)

​**Step 4:** Delete the players name including the IP and save.
