# How To Change The Loot Spawns On Your DayZ Server

Adjusting loot spawns on your DayZ server allows you to control the availability and distribution of items, tailoring the survival experience for your players. Whether you want to increase rare item spawns, balance weapon availability, add workshop items to loot tables, or create a unique loot economy, customizing loot settings gives you full control. This guide will walk you through the process of modifying loot spawns on your server.

**Step 1:** Go to your [NameHero Client Area](https://www.namehero.com/clientarea.php) and head over to the Advanced Game Panel by clicking the blue button as seen in the screenshot within the NameHero Client Area. Here you will be accessing the Files tab. (Make sure to stop your server when changing file variables).

**Step 2**: Find the following directory: `/home/container/mpmissions/dayzOffline.chernarusplus/db`

**Step 3**: Find the Types.xml file and open it. Here you can add loot to the table, change variables and more.  *Note: If you have a custom map, the dayZOffline.chernarusplus will be instead your custom map name. *

**Step 4**: Save your file and restart your server.
