How to Configure External DNS records for Heroicmail
Having the proper DNS records for your new Heroicmail account will let you enjoy the full benefits of Heroicmail! Although only the 'basic' DNS records need to be added for your mailbox to work, adding all the DNS records will let you enjoy syncing not just Email but also your Calendar, Contacts, Task and Notes!
If your hosting account and DNS are currently with NameHero we will configure all these DNS records for you! Nothing you need to do here!
If your DNS is external, like Cloudflare or somewhere else, the following is for you!
MX Record: mail.heroicmail.com
SPF/TXT record: +include:_spf.heroicmail.com
CNAME records:
heroic-return in CNAME return.heroicmail.com
heroic-link in CNAME link.heroicmail.com
s700463._domainkey in CNAME dkim.heroicmail.com
That's it! Set those and you can configure your mail via IMAP and your webmail will work properly!
*Please note, you will need to verify with us that you have successfully added the records so we can verify on the outbound relay before you will be able to send outgoing mail.
