# How To Install Plugins / Mods On Your Rust Server

Adding plugins or mods to a Rust server offers extra features, customization options, and game modifications. These enhancements can introduce new functionalities, presenting players with fresh challenges and gameplay experiences. Moreover, plugins and mods can assist server owners in managing their servers more efficiently, providing tools for server administration, player management, and chat filtering.

**Step 1:** Go to your [NameHero Client Area](https://www.namehero.com/clientarea.php) and head over to the **Advanced Game Panel** by clicking the blue button as seen in the screenshot within the NameHero Client Area. Here you will be accessing the **Files** tab**.**

​**Step 2:** Find the `/home/container/oxide/plugins` directory.

**Step 3:** Click upload and select the plugin to upload
