How to Sync Outlook Calendar & Contacts
With Heroicmail you can sync your Outlook Calendar & Contacts easily with this free software that lets you connect to the CalDAV & CardDAV ports so your calendar and contacts will sync flawlessly in Outlook.
Step 1: Setup your Heroicmail account first via IMAP.
Step 2: Close Outlook. Now download the FREE third party CalDAV synchronizer software that allows you to connect to the Calendar and Contacts.
Step 3: Now Run the software to install it and use defaults clicking next or ok as it installs.
Step 4: Open Outlook. You will now see a new item in the text menu along the top.
Step 5: Click on that and then click on 'Synchronization Profiles'
Step 6: Click on the green Plus...
Step 7: Choose Generic CalDAV/CardDAV option in the top and click OK.
Step 8: On the next screen, at the top, you will want to name the profile 'Calendar' or 'Contacts' or anything that will easily identify it as being so. The process is the same for both. We will add the Calendar for this tutorial. In Outlook Settings, choose the Outlook folder as Calendar.
Step 9: On the Server Settings, where it has DAV URL, put: https://mail.heroicmail.com/
For your username, put your complete email address and then your password and your email again. Then click on Test or discover settings button!
Step 10: If you entered correct email and password above, a screen will pop up, click OK.
Step 11: You will get this message. It's ok. It will work. Click OK.
Step 12: On this screen the correct DAV URL will populate automatically. Bottom, click OK!
Step 13: To add your Contacts, simply follow the same steps starting at Step 6, by clicking on the green Plus icon, choose generic again, call it Contacts for the profile and select the Contacts folder this time!
Once done, you will have two profiles. Your Outlook Contacts and Calendars will now sync with your new Heroicmail account!
