How to Turn on Unread Message Count in Heroicmail Folders

This quick tutorial will show you how to easily turn on unread message count on your folders. By default, this feature is not turned on as it can become quite resource intensive if enabled by default across the entire mail server. Individuals can choose to turn on this feature quickly and easily. The reason it is not turned on by default is because the majority of users are using Outlook or EmClient or some other mail client that does that for you automatically. But now you can enjoy this feature in webmail as well! Once enabled, you are done. It will automatically update unread message counts going forward.

With each new folder you create, or an existing folder, if you wish to turn on unread message counts in those individual folders, simply click on the folder menu, then more options and then synchronize. That's it! Going forward any future emails that get moved into that folder via rules will cause the unread message count to display when viewing your mailbox.

Just remember, if you create a new folder you'll need to enable this if you want the count to display.
