How To Setup Your cPanel Email in Gmail
Love Gmail and want your email from your cPanel mailbox to go to your Gmail account? This tutorial will walk you through how to configure your Gmail account to 'pop' the email off the server and even how to make it so when you compose a new email it will be sent from @your-domain instead of @gmail! It's easy to do!
STEP 1: Collect your data! Make sure you have your cPanel email password and incoming and outgoing mail server settings! Usually you can use mail.your-domain.com for both incoming and outgoing. You can see this information quickly by logging into cPanel, click on Email Accounts and then 'Connect Devices'.

You'll find this information there!

STEP 2: Login to your Gmail account. Click the 'gear' icon in the upper right, then click on 'See all settings'.

STEP 3: Along the top, click on 'Accounts and Import'. Scroll down and click on 'Add a mail account'.

STEP 4: A popup will be seen. Enter in your email address you wish to import into Gmail and click Next.

STEP 5: On the next screen click Next.

STEP 6: Now enter in the username as your complete email address, the password from cpanel you assigned. You can use mail.your-domain.com for the POP server. Be sure to use port 995. Then check 'Always use a secure connection'. When done, click 'Add Account'.
Leaving a 'copy' on the mail server is optional, but if you expect to get this email on other devices you'll want to leave a copy on the server! You can do other creative things like adding a custom label as well to easily identify the emails that come into your Gmail account.

STEP 7: Click Next.

STEP 8: Click 'Next Step'

STEP 9: Your SMTP server is the same as your incoming you used on step 6. Use your email address as username and then your password. Choose from the drop down port 465. Then toggle Secured connection using SSL. Click 'Add Account'.

STEP 10: At this point, you have added the mailbox and also added the outgoing mail. You'll need to verify the account before you can successfully send outbound email from gmail @yourdomin! Check your email!

STEP 11: There it is! Click on that link and you'll be good to go!

STEP 12: Click on Confirm.
STEP 13: To set your new cPanel mailbox up as the default in Gmail, navigate to the Settings once again, click on 'Accounts and Import'. Then click on make default next to your new mailbox.
If you ever need to 'immediately' check for new email, you can navigate to this screen and click on 'Check Mail Now'. Otherwise Gmail will set it's 'own' schedule randomly and check for new mail. it will get to you, but it may not be 'instantaneous' . So if you have an time pressing email you need to get, use this feature to check mail now.

STEP 14: Once you have done the steps above you can now compose new email in Gmail using your domain! If you need to switch to your Gmail address you can quickly just use the drop down to select the other email address!
