How To Become Admin On Your DayZ Server

Becoming an admin on your DayZ server gives you access to powerful tools for managing players, enforcing rules, and customizing gameplay. With admin privileges, you can execute commands, monitor server activity, and maintain a fair environment for your community. This guide will walk you through the steps to set up admin access on your DayZ server.

Step 1: Go to your NameHero Client Area and head over to the Advanced Game Panel by clicking the blue button as seen in the screenshot within the NameHero Client Area. Here you will be accessing the Startup tab.


Step 2: Once in the Startup tab, navigate to the Admin Password variable and enter your desired password. (restart server after making this change).




Step 3: In DayZ on your server, open the chat and enter: #login MyAdminPassword .


Here is the list of DayZ Admin Commands:

#login AdminPassword : Log in as an admin to the server. Only one admin can be logged in at a time!
#logout : Log out as an admin from the server.
#restart : Restart the mission.
#reassign : Restart the mission and allows reselection of roles.
#shutdown : Stop the server.
#init : Reload the server’s configuration files.
#restartserver : Restart the server.
#kick Name/Player##/UserID : Kick the specified player.
#exec ban Name/Player##/UserID : Ban the specified player from the server.
You can specify either the player’s name, player number, or SteamID64.
Example: #exec ban Playa will ban the player with the name Playa.
#monitor Seconds : Display server performance information. Enter #monitor 0 to disable output.
lock : Lock the server and prevent new players from accessing it.
unlock : Remove the lock and allow players to access the server.
