How To Change The Map On Your DayZ Server
DayZ servers come with two default maps: ChernarusPlus, the base map available to all DayZ owners, and Enoch, exclusive to Livonia DLC owners. Chernarus features urban environments, while Livonia emphasizes survival in nature, requiring more foraging and hunting. Servers can also install and switch between custom maps for varied experiences. In this article we will cover how to change the map on your DayZ server.
Step 1: Go to your NameHero Client Area and head over to the Advanced Game Panel by clicking the blue button as seen in the screenshot within the NameHero Client Area. Here you will be accessing the Files tab. (Make sure to stop your server when changing file variables).
Step 2: Open the serverDZ.cfg file (towards the bottom).
Step 3: Find the class Missions line (around line 40).
Step 4: Change the template= , enter the desired <MissionName>.<TerrainName>. Make sure to keep the quotation marks. Some examples of maps are:
Vanilla
dayzOffline.chernarusplus
Livonia
dayzOffline.enoch
Frostline
dayzOffline.sakhal
Step 5: Save your file and restart the server!
