Connecting to your ARK server is one of the most important steps to be able to play on your fresh ARK: Survival Evolved world. In this article, we will go over the steps on how to do so.

Connecting With Steam Client

There are a few ways of connecting to your ark server on steam. In-game or the steam server browser.

Step 1: In the Steam client select View > Game Servers.



Step 2: Once here you will be prompted with a sever browser screen. Here you can select the internet tab. From the internet tab on the right side, you can choose your game (ARK: Survival Evolved). Once you select your game, in the bottom left you will see the filters tab, click this to search for the server name and add / remove any filters. Once you input your server name, you should now see your server.


Step 3: Now that you have found your server, you can right click the server and add it to your favorites (this will save the server in the favorites tab, as well as connect.


You have now successfully connected to your server via steam.

Connecting In Game - ARK

The main way to connect to an ark server would be via the in game launcher. These steps will show you how to do so.

Step 1: Open ARK: Survival Evolved

Step 2: Select the Join ARK tab.


Step 3: From here, search for your server name in the name filter box. Once found you can click the join button in the bottom right.



You have now connected to your ark server.
