How To Fix Corrupted / Lost Palworld World / Save Data
With Palworld being a fairly new game and smaller team, there can be some minor and major issues. One of these issues being World saves and data being lost randomly. This can sometimes happen if the server has not been restarted recently, an error in the latest game save etc. This guide will walk you through the steps on how to revert back to a previous save.
The first step before anything is making sure you have an SFTP client like FileZilla to ensure you can mass download / upload servers. You can follow our guide here.
Step 2: After installing and opening Filezilla, head over to the Advanced Game Panel Files tab by clicking the blue button as seen in the screenshot above within the NameHero Client Area. Make sure your server is stopped / offline.

Step 3: Once in the files tab, Look for the directory /home/container/Pal/Saved/SaveGames/0 (you also need to do this in the SFTP client). Click on the world folder (long string of letters and numbers).

Step 4: Once here, you should see a backups folder, this is the folder we will want to access. after this, click on the world folder inside the backups folder.

Step 5: When you are in the backups/world folder you should see a bunch of different dates for these backups. Typically we want to access the 2nd to 3rd most recent folder to ensure that we are not using a save that could be corrupted. Click on the desired folder for your date / time backup.

Step 6: In here, you will notice there are 3 files / folders, players data, level save and level meta save. We will need to download all of these. Make sure in your SFTP client to download all of these files and folders and move them somewhere safe on your computer.
Step 7: Once you have downloaded these 3 files / folders, head back to your world folder /home/container/Pal/Saved/SaveGames/0/(world name). Here we will delete the Players folder, Level.sav file and LevelMeta.sav file and replace them with the ones we downloaded in the backups. After this step, start your server back up and you should now have access to your uncorrupted / saved world!
