How To Set Up Whitelist On Your Minecraft Server

Enabling a whitelist on your Minecraft server is a crucial step for maintaining control over who can join your game. This feature allows you to create a list of approved players, ensuring that only those you trust can access your server. By enabling the whitelist, you can protect your world from unwanted visitors, enhance security, and create a more enjoyable and safe environment for you and your friends. In this guide, we will walk you through the simple steps to enable and manage the whitelist on your Minecraft server.

No matter if you’re running a Spigot, Paper, Forge, or Fabric Minecraft server, you can always use the whitelist feature. You just need to enter a few commands to turn it on and add players. Make sure you have operator privileges or use these commands in the advanced game panel because only owners and administrators can use this feature. The whitelist stays active even after you restart the server, so you'll need to turn it off manually if you don’t want it anymore. Follow the steps below to learn how to set up a private Minecraft server.
