Setting LVE Resource Limits with CloudLinuxOS
Your new CloudShield VPS has a very powerful software suite powered by CloudLinuxOS specifically designed to improve the performance and security of your VPS! This tutorial will cover details on the LVE (Lightweight Virtual Environment). The LVE allows you to allocate cpu/mem and more to individual cpanel users!
Why it's important to have the LVE: If one of your cpanel users comes under attack, if no limits are set on their individual account, it could affect all users on your VPS! The LVE keeps your server up and running while throttling abusive accounts. When your VPS is provisioned it is using the default settings which works right out of the box. But you may need to increased resources for certain customers as their needs grow.
Please note: If you have a cPanel Solo license and only a single cPanel account the LVE is not available and all resources of the VPS are devoted to the single cPanel account. The LVE settings will only be available once you upgrade to 5+ cPanel license.

Login to your WHM. Click on CloudLinux Manager. Click on Users. Then click the Edit to the right of the user.

Once you click on edit, you can then adjust the settings to meet your customer's needs.

After you have updated the LVE settings you'll see your changes in red.

If you need help adjusting these settings, feel free to reach out to our NameHero Techs and we can make these changes for you!
If you want to see a history of your customer's panel account, you can click on the 'history' icon just to the right of the edit. If you notice anything hitting the limits you may need to adjust the limits again or investigate why a particular account may be hitting the limits. Here at NameHero we see this on a daily basis. Unless it's a malicious attack, it could very well be a bad WordPress plugin or theme or something of that nature that needs to be fixed. Otherwise it's possible the customer needs to upgrade to the next package due to legit traffic!
Look for any traffic spikes!
