Setting LVE Resource Limits with CloudLinuxOS
Your new CloudShield VPS has a very powerful software suite powered by CloudLinuxOS specifically designed to improve the performance and security of your VPS! This tutorial will cover details on the LVE (Lightweight Virtual Environment). The LVE allows you to allocate cpu/mem and more to individual cpanel users!
When To Update LVE Settings
Type of Website | SPEED CPU (%) | IO (KB/s) | IOPS | PMEM RAM (MB) | nPROC | EP |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Small & Simple Websites | 100-200% | 8 MB/s | 1024 | 1GB | 100 | 20 |
Medium WP Ecommerce | 200-300% | 16 MB/s | 1024 | 2GB - 3GB | 150 | 50 |
High End WP Ecommerce | 300-600% | 32 MB/s | 1024 | 4GB - 8GB | 300 | 100 |
Settings you can limit and the impact of hitting those limits
Where to Access the LVE Settings
Login to your WHM. Click on CloudLinux Manager. Click on Users. Then click the Edit to the right of the user.
Once you click on edit, you can then adjust the settings to meet your customer's needs.
After you have updated the LVE settings you'll see your changes in red.
If you want to see a history of your customer's panel account, you can click on the 'history' icon just to the right of the edit. If you notice anything hitting the limits you may need to adjust the limits again or investigate why a particular account may be hitting the limits. Here at NameHero we see this on a daily basis. Unless it's a malicious attack, it could very well be a bad WordPress plugin or theme or something of that nature that needs to be fixed. Otherwise it's possible the customer needs to upgrade to the next package due to legit traffic!
ook for any traffic spikes!
