How To Transfer A Palworld Server To NameHero
How to Transfer a Palworld Server to NameHero
You can upload Palworld servers to NameHero from either co-op servers or other dedicated servers. However, transferring servers on Windows typically carries a higher risk of losing player data. On the other hand, migrating from Linux-based dedicated servers is much safer, with minimal risk of data loss.
For Windows servers, the community has developed methods to preserve player data during the transfer process. This involves manually editing the server files to ensure all player progress is retained. By carefully following these steps, you can successfully transfer your Palworld server to NameHero while minimizing the risk of data loss.
1. Download the World Save from the desired server located in Pal/Saved/SaveGames/0 . Some providers may require an FTP Client like FileZilla.
2. Extract / Download the save to an empty folder.
Step 3: Go to your NameHero Client Area. Head over to the Advanced Game Panel by clicking the blue button as seen in the screenshot within the NameHero Client Area. Here you will be accessing the Files tab. Make sure your server is stopped.
Step 4: Once in the files tab, Look for the directory /home/container/Pal/Saved/SaveGames/0
Step 5: Delete the world file already the server by pressing Right-click > Delete. If you do not see a world save, make sure someone has joined the server first before doing this.
Step 6: Upload the previous world folder by dragging over the folder or using an SFTP client. This folder will be uploaded to /home/container/Pal/Saved/SaveGames/0
Step 7: Copy the folders name. This will be used in the next step
Step 8: Find the following directory: /home/container/Pal/Saved/Config/LinuxServer
Step 9: Open The GameUserSettings.ini File. Here you will paste the world name file in the DedicatedServerName line (7)
Step 10: Save the file and start your server!
