We Do Not Allow Adult Content (Or Other Online Scams)

If you read our terms of service and acceptable use policy, you already know where this article is going!

We want our customers and potential customers to know EXACTLY what they’re getting into when they work with us. We don’t like to play shady/deceptive games.

We have a zero tolerance adult policy

At NameHero we do not allow adult hosting or content of any type. Anything that could even be considered adult, we don’t allow.

I have my own personal reasons against this, but I feel like the majority of adult website operators / affiliates lack understanding of the laws such as 18 U.S. Code § 2257 – Record keeping requirements and other US-based laws. There is also the fact that adult related content attracts uninvited visitors to our network that are up to no good.

Therefore, I made the decision from the day I started NameHero that we wouldn’t allow it period.

Do not bring your scammy websites to us

If you’re trying to operate an online pharmacy or similar website without the proper licensing, don’t bring it over to us. We clearly state inside of our Acceptable Use Policy:

Sale of any controlled substance without prior proof of appropriate permit(s)

If you don’t have the proper permits / documentation on hand you’re wasting your time.

Don’t even think about spamming

Prior to starting NameHero I was a really big affiliate marketer, running one of the fastest-growing mobile affiliate networks in the world.

I know how the game works mass-mailing individuals with clean IPs. I can spot this stuff very quickly and have also trained my team accordingly.

We will shut you down, so once again you’re just wasting your time with this.

Fraudulent orders

I personally manually review every single order that comes through our system.

If our fraud system (or myself) come across something that looks suspicious, we’re going to ask for more information about you such as proper business documentation or a government issued ID.

While this sometimes makes people angry, it’s actually for your protection. Credit card fraud is very real, so if our system detects something that doesn’t look right, we have to investigate before we accept the order. We have a responsibility to protect our network and 'existing' customers from fraud.

Read our terms, when in doubt ask

As referenced many times throughout this post, we have posted our compliance documents at various places throughout our site and order process. At least give them a nice skim before wasting time:

Terms of Use
Acceptable Use Policy
Anti Spam Policy

I’m also not the CEO that hides behind my office chair. Shoot me an email and I can even schedule a call with you to make sure we’re on the same page before you get started.

I spend the majority of my days on the phone with potential customers, so it’d be my pleasure to talk with you and make sure everything is good before you place your order!

I’m not trying to shame anyone with this post, but rather lay everything out there so there are no surprises. I’ve worked online for nearly 25 years now, and while your business is your business, these are the terms of our company here at NameHero and the culture we stand behind.
