Gmail 'pop' Frequency with cPanel Mail

Most of us have a Gmail account that we use for one reason or another. It's become just one of those 'must have' types of mailboxes. One feature that makes Gmail so nice is you can add your external mailboxes from cPanel or Heroicmail and manage all your mail right from your Gmail interface. It's quite nice!

That said, we are often asked why mail is 'so slow' to arrive in their Gmail account?

The short answer is, it's not us, it's them.

The Gmail Fetch process may take 30-60 minutes to sync new emails from POP accounts to Gmail Interface. We don't have control on Gmail Fetch Frequency as this has been setup by Gmail Support Team. They determine the frequency internally depending on how much and often you receive mail in those external mailboxes.

There is a quick solution if you are waiting for mail to arrive from your cPanel or Heroicmail account!

In Gmail, simply hit the refresh button and it will automatically go out and 'sync' mail from your external mailboxes! It's that easy!

The automated process can take longer, but if you simply hit the refresh it will go out and sync your mail immediately!
